Pleasant undulating, rural walking, with a strange tower, a few follies and a rather stately home

Cut off for a shorter walk (5 miles) at Clough Lane, Porter Brook.

Recce done Monday 11th and boots or wellingtons are appropriate. Both Whirlow and Porter Brooks are quite beautiful and fast flowing at the moment.
