Park on Station Road (A6135) Chapeltown, opposite The Commercial Inn.

, A single ticket to Dodworth costs under £3.00 with a rail card and £4.30 without. Tickets can be purchased from the ticket machine on Platform One. Park on Station Road, walk up the hill to Asda car-park, cross the car-park to Platform One and the ticket machine, which can be busy, so allow plenty of time.
Go down the ramp and steps, turn right, then go up the steps to Platform Two. The train is due at 9.47, arriving at Dodworth 10.10.
The walk is moderate, but can be shortened to 8.5 miles, depending on the weather,
