Mike Whittaker. This Sunday's walk from Calver is only 8.4 miles in length and must be one of the easiest Sunday walks in the programme for this year. If you normally only walk on a Thursday this could be one for you to try. It seems, if the forecasters get it right, the temperature in and around the Calver area will be only about 21 degrees, which is somewhat lower than the extreme heat we have experienced of late.
