Coronation Picnic Social Event, on The Bank Holiday following The Coronation
Walking from Bolsterstone Village to the Trig Point for the picnic and home made entertainment.
From this vantage point there are glorious views over the Ewden Valley, as far as Derwent Edge.
Dress code: Red, white and blue clothing if possible - Union Flag hat, bunting, picnic rug, flag, scarf etc.
Food and drink: Bring your own picnic and something to share, e.g. Coronation chicken sandwiches, Victoria sponge cake, scones, trifle.
Please bring a sparkling drink: alcoholic or non alcoholic to toast the new king.
Entertainment suggestions: Perhaps a quiz with a British, Royal theme - a poetry or prose recitation, song singing, joke telling and a communal sing a long to possibly Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory.
Inclement weather:If it's raining or if rain is forecast, just don your overtrousers and bring a red/white or blue brolly, the event will still go ahead. We are British after all.
No need to inform Maggie, just turn up in time to leave for the Trig Point at 11.30.
